DSC07092My name is Ranvir Singh, I am in grade 2 and today I am going to talk to you about my passion for car racing. I was always very interested in cars like many of the boys here are. My mom says that when I was 3 years old I would know names of almost all cars I saw on the road. When we went on drives, I would sit in my car seat and name every car that passed by. Through books and conversations, my grandfather introduced me to vintage cars like Hillman, Ford, Contessa, etc. My mom and dad bought me books on cars and read them to me. They showed me different shapes, sizes and colors of cars. I was so fascinated by the speed of cars that I insisted I wanted to drive myself. When my mom or dad would drive the car I would ask them to explain when they would need to press the clutch or the break or the accelerator and why they would need to change the gear. They always answered all my questions without hesitation. In my preschool my favorite topic for drawing was cars. My teachers always encouraged me and showed me different ways to draw cars. As I turned 5, my parents started to research to take my love for cars ahead. They came across the racing school named Rayo Racing from Mumbai. I joined Rayo Racing when I was 5 and half years old. Rayo sir and Steve sir come over every weekend to Pune to teach me kart driving. They say I drive very well for my age. I turned 7years in June and Rayo sir said that now I am eligible to attend the 1st level of karting lesson called – “Basics in karting”.  I completed this course on 3rd and 4th of October 2015. I would like to share with you some important lessons from my training. Corners, over steer, under steer, engine capacity, speed, no drift, etc Dear all, thank you so much for hearing my journey in car racing so far. I plan to take part in Indian championships when Rayo sir says I am ready for it.
