Starting To Drive A Kart At A Tender Age Of 5.5 Years Ranvir Has Come A Distance With His Races And Podium Finishes So Far.
Ranvir’s 1st Race
Ranvir’s 1st race was the Pro Cadet race was the Indikarting Pune Prix in December 2015. He was doing excellent with his start and was leading the race until the last lap when his chain gave way and he had to discontinue the race. Being the youngest racer and putting up a tough fight to lead the race for nearly 2 laps towards the finish, he was given a special award for outstanding talent.
Ranvir’s 2nd Race
Ranvir’s 2nd race was the Pro Cadet race was The Indikarting National series held in Pune in April 2016 saw Ranvir race quite well however he did not make it to the podium for any of the 3 races.
Ranvir’s 3rd Race
Ranvir’s 3rd race was the Pro Cadet race was the Indikarting National series held in Goa in April 2016. This track saw him show very good consistency. He did not do well in his qualifying however in his 1st race here he overtook well and reached the 2nd position however just before reaching the finish he accidentally entered the pits. With a DNF he started the 2nd race from the last position and still reached the 4th place. In the final race, he again tried and gave all his best however finished well at the 4th position.
Ranvir’s 4th Race
Ranvir’s 4th race was the Pro Cadet race was the Indikarting National series held in Baroda in May 2016. This track was a clockwise track and there was no stopping for Ranvir. He not only made 2 podium finishes out of 3 races (in the 3rd race he suffered a position penalty from 2nd position to the 4th) but also was the fastest cadet racer in the entire event. The 2 podium finishes were with 1st position in 1 race and 2nd position in the 2nd race.
Ranvir’s 5th Race
Ranvir’s 5th race was the Pro Cadet race was the Indikarting National series held in Ludhiana in May 2016. The track being a cemented one, Ranvir had slight difficulty picking up pace. In-spite of a few difficulties and health issues Ranvir had 1 podium finish out of the 3 races. He finished 2nd in the 2nd race.
Ranvir’s 6th Race
Ranvir’s 6th race was the Pro Cadet race was the Indikarting National series held in Noida in June 2016. Here the conditions were wet as that weekend saw a heavy seasonal downpour. This was the 1st time he was driving in wet conditions and he had his own learning curve here. Still suffering from cold and cough Ranvir tried his best to win however the track conditions were not in his favor.
Ranvir’s 7th Race
Ranvir’s 7th race was the Pro Cadet race was the Indikarting Pune Kart Prix held in Pune in September. There were 3 races held and the podium finish was to be defined on the point system. Ranvir raced well and showed good control with his overtakes and gained an overall point position with a podium finish for the 2nd place.
Ranvir’s 8th Race
Ranvir’s 8th race was the Pro Cadet race was the Indikarting Pune Prix held in Pune in November 2016. This being his home track making a podium finish was not too difficult. There were 3 races held and the podium finish was to be defined on the point system. Still being the youngest racer amongst the cadets he finished with an overall point and podium finish for the 2nd position.
Ranvir’s 9th Race
Ranvir’s 9th race was the Pro Cadet race was the Indikarting Pune Prix held in Pune in December 2016. The last race of the year saw Ranvir to performing his best. He made some very basic mistakes and did loose his confidence too in the 1st race. By the 2nd race, he picked up well and brought his timings closer to the winning racer. By the 3rd race, he was able to overcome all his mistakes and score a better timing and finished 3rd. The overall point system got Ranvir a podium in the 3rd position for the race.
The 8th & 9th race was considered as a 2 part series and was to be scored on the overall points scored in both the races. Ranvir scored a podium at the 2nd position here
Ranvir’s 10th Race
Being the newest on the grid of 12 racers in the age of 8-13 yrs he gave a tough fight to some seasoned racers. However, it was tough luck for the Rookie cup 2017 and no trophies or medals. Ranvir could not do well n the qualifications and finished 9th. He started in the 9th place in race 1 and finished 5th. Race 2 he started 5th and finished 6th however due to a jump start he got a time penalty and was pushed to 11th position. Race 3 he started 11th n once again gave a super treat to the eyes with his overtaking n finished 5th.
Ranvir’s 11th Race
Race weekend 17th and 18th June 2017.Chicane circuit Hyderabad – Round 1 of the Rotax Max Championship 2017 Day 1 – 17th June' 2017.Qualifying – Amongst many of the experienced racers(total 13), Ranvir stood 7th in the qualifying race. Heat 1 – Ranvir started at 7th position and finished at 6th. He got his best timing on the track including all practice sessions. Heat 2 – Ranvir started 6th and finished 4th and improved his timing again in this heat. Some super speed that was witnessed and he once again amazed us with his grit and super overtaking. However, a bump in a corner while overtaking got him a 10-second penalty. A good learning experience for him.
Ranvir’s 12th Race
Race weekend 15th and 16th July. Chicane circuit Hyderabad - Round 2 of the Rotax Max Championship 2017 Another weekend of racing at round 2 of the FMSCI National Rotax Max Championship 2017 and Ranvir emerges as a better sportsman. He not only gave a tough fight to some of the best kids in this category but also remained consistent with his speed.There were times when he surprised us with his pace and proved to be faster than all the others in his league. He sealed the 1st position in the Mini Micro Max category.
